The EO’s (evangelical broadcaster) annual Christmas show ‘Radiant Christmas Party’ was recorded in our factory this year. The Middenfabriek was the shining centre for a musical Christmas broadcast of stature! The show was presented by Bert van Leeuwen and Anne-Mar Zwart.
Peace was the message
The Christmas show is full of peace-loving (Christmas) music. The 650-piece Popup Choir, accompanied by Maarten Bos (conductor) and Tijmen de Koning (guitarist), sang the song Happy Xmas (War Is Over) polyphonically. There were also performances by Bergit Lewis, OG3NE, Ferdi Bolland and several Salvation Army talents.
Ukrainian talents
Musical talent from Ukraine also made their presence felt. Muza Valiaddinzade accompanied Ferdi Bolland on the piano during the song “You raise me up”. Anna Hodorovskaya, winner of The Voice of Ukraine 2013, also made her voice and story heard.
Unique setting
The filming took place in the Middenfabriek. The distinctive staircase in the middle of the space was used by the presenters, singers and the choir. Together with the light effects, this resulted in beautiful footage.
